Chalet Alpengruss, studio apartment in Wengen

DH in front of the Lilliputian kitchen area. I'm standing in front of the bed/sofa

The bed/"sofa" - it's a regular twin bed with a normal sized/thickness mattress, and a full sized trundle underneath that comes up to the same level. Extra comforter is stored in the bookshelf to the side. I'm standing next to the small table and chairs in front of the window while taking this picture.

Little dining area. The shutters are down in the window.

Bathroom.
Dirt cheap! 70 CHF per night, and that was in July.

hi..we're planning to stay here when we go to wengen about a month from now. would you recommend this place?
and are there restaurants, grocery stores nearby?
How far is it from the train station?
We thought it was great. If you're a couple who likes "quaint" places, I'd recommend it. Its way too small for more than 2 people though. The owner was friendly, and the view was spectacular from the terrace.
It's about 1/4 mile (300-400m) slightly uphill walk from the train station. Very walkable. There is a grocery store and restaurants in the center of the village where the train station is. Wengen is a very small town; all the restaurants and shops are clustered in the center and the rest is just houses, etc. Not a ton of options for food (probably 4-5 restaurants), and the Co-op (grocery store) closed pretty early if I recall (around 6 or 7 pm)
It was a very cute little town, and for the price I can't imagine finding any better experience in the whole valley :)
